Project Description:

This project, located in southern Washington County, was awarded to C. William Hetzer, Inc. in October 2006. With only 275 calendar days to complete the work and winter weather looming, our crews went to work immediately. First, detour signs were installed and the road was closed to traffic. After removing the existing structure and installing the stream diversion, the concrete footings, abutments, and wingwalls were constructed. Finally, the timber superstructure was installed and the rest of the roadway improvements were completed. The detour was removed and the roadway was reopened to traffic nearly three weeks ahead of schedule.
